Local Housing Market Assessment
Consultants have worked with North Shropshire District Council in order to complete a Local Housing Market Assessment. The study has been commissioned to underpin the development of a North Shropshire Housing Strategy, but will also inform the preparation of the Local Development Framework (LDF) Core Strategy and Site Allocations DPDs.
The study reflects the approach set out in the March 2007 Communities and Local Government guidance and focuses upon:
1) defining the North Shropshire housing market area;
2) population change;
3) projected future housing need;
4) interventions that may therefore be necessary in the local housing market.
