Community Safety
The Community Safety Partnership
The Council works in partnership with a wide range of partners within its Community Safety Partnership. The job of the Community Safety Partnership is to tackle crime, disorder and the misuse of drugs and alcohol.
Each district and brorough council in Shropshire has a similar partnership. They are usually refered to as Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships (CDRPs). The Partnerships work collectively at a county level through the Safer and Stronger Communities Board.
The Safer and Stronger Communities Board has responsibility for reducing crime measured in a particular way (British Crime Survey Comparator Crime) by 14% compared to the level in the financial year 2003/4. Currently North Shropshire has reduced crime by much more than this level.
You can find our more about crime in North Shropshire by visiting the Caddie web site.

PACT meetings
The Council takes part in Partners and Communities Together meetings arranged by West Mercia Police. At these meetings, local residents can talk about what concerns them and the local agencies agree to tackle the top three issues. The dates and locations of PACT meetings across North Shropshire can be found on the local policing section of West Mercia Constabulary's web site:
