Further Proposed Modifications

Representations on the Proposed Modifications to the North Shropshire Local Plan 2000-2011 were considered by the Council on 24 August 2005. The Council resolved to endorse some of the Proposed Modifications but also to make a number of Further Proposed Modifications to the Plan.

Further Proposed Modifications Document (September 2005)

The Council's response to the Proposed Modifications was published in the form of Further Proposed Modifications to the Plan (available from this website). Copies of the Further Proposed Modifications are also available for inspection at:

• Council Offices, Edinburgh House, Wem
• Libraries in Wem, Whitchurch, Ellesmere, Market Drayton and Shawbury

It is also possible to purchase copies of the document by sending a cheque for £5 plus 62pence postage made payable to 'North Shropshire District Council' to:

The changes to the Plan put forward by the Council are shown in the Further Proposed Modifications document with changes to the text shown in italics, deleted text struck through and additional text underlined. Where relevant the changes are shown on an accompanying map. If a policy does not appear in the Further Proposed Modifications document then no change is recommended to that part of the Plan and there is no further opportunity to comment on it.

Consultation

Following the publication of a statutory notice in the local press, the Consultation period on the Further Proposed Modifications ran for six weeks between 8 September 2005 and 19 October 2005.
