Adopted North Shropshire Local Plan 2000-2011
At its meeting on Wednesday 21 December 2005, the Council resolved to adopt the North Shropshire Local Plan. A copy of the 'Notice of adoption' of the Local Plan can be downloaded from this website.
As part of the transition from the old system of Local Plans to the new system of Local Development Frameworks the policies that make up the Local Plan have been "saved" until at least December 2008.

Paper copies of the Local Plan are available for inspection and purchase (at a cost of £30 plus £4.16 if postage is required) during normal office hours at:
- North Shropshire District Council Offices, Edinburgh House, New Street, Wem,
and are available for inspection only during normal office hours at:
- Ellesmere Library, Scotland Street, Ellesmere;
- Market Drayton Library and Shropshire Customer First Visitor and Information Centre, Cheshire Street, Market Drayton;
- Wem Library and Learning Centre, Talbot House, High Street, Wem;
- Whitchurch Library, High Street, Whitchurch;
- Shawbury Library, Parish Hall, Church Road, Shawbury
