3 key steps for security
Thefts from outbuildings
There has been a recent increase in burglaries from sheds, garages and outbuildings across North Shropshire. By remembering the security 1-2-3 you can help us tackle this new challenge.
1. Make sure you lock your sheds, garages and outbuildings.
It is easy to forget, but locking your possessions away is a simple way to deter thieves.
2. Look out for your neighbours.
The best way to deter crime is to have plenty of people keeping an eye on what's going on. You can help by making sure you keep a watchful eye on your local area.
3. Report suspicious activity.
You know if something looks a bit out of place. This could be someone around when you wouldn't expect it or a vehicle is parked in an unusual place. Reports like this will give the Police vital evidence.
We have produced a leaflet remining you of these simple steps and giving the key contact details. You can download this leaflet here.
Even with the recent increase, North Shropshire is still one of the lowest crime areas in the country. With your help we can keep it that way.
