Council Tax

Every household has a liability for Council Tax.

Council Tax provides about 13% of the money the Council spends on local services. The remainder of the money comes from Business Rates, Government Grants and income from charging from services.

In addition to helping pay for things like schools, emptying your dustbin and social services, Council Tax money also pays for the police and fire service etc.

If you are a resident of North Shropshire you can check your Council Tax account online.
