North Shropshire District Council's current planning policies are contained within the adopted North Shropshire Local Plan 2000-2011 (along with national and regional policies).  The topic chapters covered in the Local Plan include - Settlement Strategy, Design, Historic Environment, Landscape Character and Nature Conservation, Housing, Employment and Retail, Tourism and Recreation, Facilities and Services, Infrastructure and Transport.   • Planning Inspectorate - The Planning Inspectorate is an independant body that deals with the processing of planning and enforcement appeals and holding inquiries into local development plans
