About Whitchurch Swimming Centre
Whitchurch Swimming Centre was opened in 1974. The facility comprises of 1 main pool (25m x 9.5m).
A variety of swimming activities are available at the centre including swimming lessons, lifesaving, adults only, public swimming, aquatots, 50+, water workouts, women only, fun sessions, family fun sessions and children's parties.
The centre follows the Swimming Development Scheme, which incorporates 'learn to swim' classes for beginner, imrpovement and advanced levels targeting parents & toddlers, children, adults and pensioners.
From the learn to swim scheme alternative developmental pathways can be sought including swimming squad, rookie junior lifesaving and an after-school activity club run by the staff. The centre can provide further details on any of these.
The Main Pool
For opening times, please see the relevant centre programme (i.e. term time or holiday). The links are in blue below. The time of the first session each day, with the exception of the staff training session, is the time that the centre is open to the general public. The end time of the last session each day is the time that the centre closes to the general public.
