About Wem Swimming Centre Ltd
Wem Swimming Centre was opened in 1972 and refurbished in 
1985 and 1998. The facility comprises:
- 20m x 7m pool
- Conservatory/spectator area
The centre's programme offers a variety of swimming based activities including public swims, adults only, families only, women only, aquafit, fun sessions, children's parties, pool hire, lifesaving and competitive swimming.
The Pool
The centre follows a swimming development scheme, which incorporate learn to swim classes for non-swimmers and beginners, improvement and advanced levels, targeting parent & toddlers, children, adults and pensioners.
From the learn to swim scheme, alternative developmental pathways can be sought including swimming squads, rookie lifeguards, junior lifesaving and joint adult & child lessons.
