National Playday 2008

Introduction

Play Day is a national campaign, coordinated by Play England and has now been running for 21 years.  It is promoted as a celebration of the right of children and young people to take part in Play, as an important factor in their emotional well-being and personal development.

Each year, hundreds of events are organised across the country, ranging in size and type, but all with the aim of promoting challenging and adventurous play.

This year's theme for Play Day was 'Give us a go!'.
