How to make a claim

If you want to make a claim to Housing Benefit and/or Council Tax Benefit, you will need to complete a claim form.  Please request a form by contacting the Benefits Service:

Alternatively, you may prefer to call into the Council Office for a claim form.

New Claims Visiting Service.

The Benefits Service offers a new claims visiting service to our customers.  If you choose to use this service, an officer will visit you in your home and help you to complete your claim form.  They will also collect the evidence we need to assess your claim.  This will ensure that we have all the information we need and we will be able to assess your claim much quicker.  We have received positive feedback from our customers who have used this service, many of whom have received an assessment notification within 2 days of our visit.  If you would like a new claim visit, please telephone the Benefits Service on (01939) 238450, where a member of staff will make the necessary arrangements with you.
