Proposed Modifications 

Following the Public Local Inquiry to consider unresolved objections to the Deposit and Revised Deposit versions of the North Shropshire Local Plan 2000-2011, the Inspector's Report was published on 3 March 2005. The Council met to consider the Report on 30 March and 20 April 2005.  The Council's response to the Inspector's Report was published 20 May 2005 in the form of Proposed Modifications to the Plan available from this website.

Consultation

The Consultation period on the Proposed Modifications ran for six weeks between 20 May 2005 and 30 June 2005. The Council in respect of these Proposed Modifications received a total of 446 duly made representations including 327 objections.

In light of the objections received the council considered the proposed modifications on 24 August 2005.  While the Council accepted some of the proposed modifications a number of Further Proposed Modifications (available from this website) were put forward.
