Core Strategy & Site Allocations DPD and Evidence Base

Prior to the move to joint working on a Shropshire Local Development Framework (LDF) by all the Shropshire Councils, North Shropshire District Council's Development Plans Team had started work on the initial evidence gathering stage of preparing a Core Strategy Development Plan Document (DPD) and Site Allocations DPD for the District. The research and studies carried out will now inform work on Shropshire wide policy, together with further studies undertaken for the emerging Shropshire LDF.

Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report

Central to the LDF Core Strategy and Site Allocation DPDs will be the theme of sustainability; that is ensuring there is a balance between economic, social and environmental objectives. In order to assess the sustainability of the LDF objectives and policies an appraisal process will be carried out.
